Professor Weng Changjiang is the chief scientist of the Fundamental Immunology in Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is a distinguished scientist of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the director of the Key Laboratory of Veterinary Immunology in Heilongjiang Province, and a Ph.D. supervisor. His research mainly focuses on infection, immune evasion, and pathogenic mechanisms of African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) and Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV). In recent years, he has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Regional Joint Innovation Fund, General Program, Knowledge Innovation Program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Ministry of Science and Technology's "14th Five-Year Plan" National Science and Technology Key Research Project. He has published over 150 scientific papers in journals such as Cell Reports, PLoS Pathogens, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Journal of Immunology. These papers have been cited more than 1000 times by international peers. He is a member of the Immunology Society of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, the Veterinary Immunology Society of the Chinese Immunology Society, and the National Agricultural Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society.
